We at Acton Scott Farm are committed to providing a good quality service whilst minimising the environmental impact on our activities and the farm is in a Higher Entry Level Environmental Stewardship Agreement with Natural England and we are proud to have been awarded a bronze award in the Green tourism Business Scheme.
Acton Scott is in an area of outstanding natural beauty and it is good walking area with many walks in the surrounding countryside, some right from our door step including one on our farm, so you can leave your car at the farm and enjoy the peace of the countryside, look out for foxgloves in Callow hollow or bluebells in the woods in spring, in the evening you may see a fox, a badger or bats going about their business, others walks start from Church Stretton, or Craven Arms where you can leave your car and where you can purchase some local produce to enjoy on your walk, on weekends (usually Easter to end of October) you can catch the Shuttle bus which takes you into the heart of the hills from which you can walk and then catch the bus at a later stop or just sit on the bus and enjoy the scenery, or stop off for a meal and a drink at a local pub or café., or for a change catch a train into the Heart of Wales or even as far as the coast.
